Senior Manager / Director - Finance Transformation

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Manager or Director in its Finance Consulting team, based in Meanjin (Brisbane). You will lead large-scale finance transformation programmes and drive market growth, partnering directly with CFOs, Finance Directors, COOs and executive leadership teams. The role covers strategic, operational and digital finance transformation, including shared services and global business services (GBS) models, and also involves sales, pursuit leadership and go-to-market work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex finance transformation programmes covering finance strategy, digital transformation, process optimisation, operating model design and technologies such as ERP (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics), EPM, AI, RPA and Power BI.
• Work with CFOs, Finance Directors, COOs and executives to define transformation agendas and articulate business value and implementation pathways.
• Drive business development: identify opportunities, lead proposals, design solutions, develop accounts and take part in go-to-market campaigns.
• Lead operating model engagements across FP&A, Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, shared services and GBS.
• Build client relationships and expand EY's impact across client organisations.
• Facilitate executive-level workshops and manage competing stakeholder priorities.
• Turn complex challenges into business cases, recommendations and measurable outcomes.
• Lead, coach and develop consulting teams, and manage delivery quality, risk, scope and engagement economics.

Required profile

• 10-15+ years of experience in finance transformation, consulting, finance strategy, operating model design or large-scale business transformation.
• Proven track record leading finance transformation across sectors such as government, infrastructure, energy, consumer, telecom, financial services, healthcare or industry.
• Experience designing and implementing finance operating models, shared services, GBS models and enterprise performance management.
• Strong commercial acumen, including managing engagement economics, scope and delivery risk.
• Australian citizenship preferred because the firm works with the Australian Federal Government.
• Nice to have: CA, CPA, CFA, MBA or equivalent; finance-related degree; experience leading large-scale transformation programmes and developing market propositions.

Required skills

• Core finance functions: FP&A, Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, costing, performance management and financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft, BlackLine, Tagetik, Anaplan, Power BI, RPA, AI and data-driven finance solutions.
• Stakeholder management, facilitation, leadership and problem-solving.
