Senior Linux Administrator

About the role

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Linux/Unix Systems Engineer to lead automation, virtualization, and platform stability initiatives across enterprise environments. You will work with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure reliable service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Automate deployments, configuration updates and reduce manual effort using IaC tools.
• Execute application and platform changes, releases, and service requests in supported environments.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and implement service‑improvement solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve major incidents and develop corrective actions.
• Maintain adherence to ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management with proper documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing UNIX/Linux operating systems in enterprise settings.
• Hands‑on expertise with virtualization technologies such as VMware and KVM.
• Strong background in automation and configuration‑management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
• Knowledge of OS hardening, security tools and CIS Benchmark standards.
• Experience supporting application servers like WebLogic and JBoss.
