Senior Lending Assistant

About the role

The Senior Lending Assistant is responsible for the end‑to‑end execution of approved lending deals, ensuring they are processed quickly, accurately and in compliance with policy. Working within the Private Client Division, you will support lenders and bankers by managing documentation, drawdowns and stakeholder communications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage all documentation required for loan drawdowns, including system loading and coordination with document preparation teams.
• Liaise with lenders, operations, legal and other stakeholders to resolve documentation queries promptly.
• Ensure approved deals are execution‑ready, progressing without delay and meeting client expectations.
• Maintain rigorous attention to detail to deliver defect‑free files and support audit readiness.
• Identify and escalate key risks within documentation, ensuring compliance with credit approval conditions and policy requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in lending support, documentation or credit execution roles.
• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
• Sound understanding of credit, risk and lending processes.
• Ability to support credit paper preparation and stakeholder management.
• Working knowledge of ANZ systems, processes and procedures.
• Analytical capability to support risk‑aware decision making.
