Senior Lead - Audit Analytics & AI

About the role

ANZ is expanding its Internal Audit function with a focus on data, analytics and artificial intelligence. The Senior Lead will shape the strategy, embed AI‑driven insights into audit work and drive a high‑performing, data‑led culture across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of data analysts to deliver high‑quality analytics that improve risk visibility and assurance outcomes.
• Define and execute the Internal Audit data, analytics and AI strategy, prioritising use cases and delivering scalable solutions.
• Partner with audit teams to embed data and AI into audit delivery, providing subject‑matter expertise.
• Drive adoption of AI and advanced analytics across Internal Audit, including governance and standards.
• Own management reporting and dashboards to track operational metrics and support executive decisions.
• Collaborate with business, risk and technology stakeholders to identify innovative analytics use cases.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and developing analytics teams within an audit or risk environment.
• Ability to translate audit strategy into scalable data and analytics solutions.
• Demonstrated track record of driving AI and advanced‑analytics adoption, including capability uplift and governance.
• Experience designing and implementing reusable data assets and reporting frameworks.
