Senior Full Stack Developer – Azure & .NET

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a Queensland Government department on an initial six‑month contract. The role works closely with the Business Application Support Team and a newly established program to deliver complex, high‑visibility digital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Azure hybrid‑cloud PaaS applications and services.
• Create, version, and manage internal and external APIs using API management processes.
• Define APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications to support build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Contribute to end‑to‑end layered solution architecture, covering application, technology, data, database, and security layers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable monitoring, support, and release practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of proven development experience across multiple technology stacks.
• Demonstrated experience with Azure PaaS, Azure Functions, and related cloud services.
• Strong background in modern .NET development (preferably .NET 7) and RESTful API design.
• Experience delivering digital services for government or large public‑sector organisations.
• Ability to work independently on a fixed‑term contract and meet tight delivery timelines.
