Senior Consultant, Project Assurance (Commercial and Finance)

About the role

As a Senior Consultant in Project Assurance, you will provide commercial and financial assurance for major infrastructure projects across Australia. You will work closely with client teams to evaluate contracts, financial data, and governance processes, ensuring projects stay on track and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Perform commercial and financial analysis of contractor bids during tender evaluations.
• Review and audit design and operating effectiveness of key systems and processes.
• Assess transaction and financial data from contractors for compliance with contract agreements.
• Conduct on‑site reviews of governance processes and controls.
• Reconcile target costs, review project milestones and KPI/KRA performance, and finalize financial positions at project completion.

Required profile

• Recent experience delivering client‑side, government or advisory contract audit, assurance or control services for infrastructure or capital‑intensive projects.
• Strong background in contract assurance, internal auditing, or project controls.
• Ability to provide real‑time, objective feedback on contractual compliance, financial control, cost management and project risks.
• Experience reviewing programs of work, identifying risks, supporting procurement and communicating updates to stakeholders.
