Senior Consultant - Employment Tax

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Consultant for its Employment Tax practice in Brisbane, working from a hybrid base in Meanjin. The role provides expert employment tax advice and compliance support, including FBT, Payroll Tax, PAYG, Superannuation, Salary Packaging and Due Diligence, using technology and data insights. It is a hybrid position, and flexible arrangements with reduced hours may be possible.

Key responsibilities

• Research and provide written guidance on Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax, PAYG withholding, Superannuation Guarantee and Salary Packaging, collaborating with other business units.
• Review and prepare annual FBT returns, payroll tax filings and superannuation guarantee calculations, using technology and big data to support compliance.
• Liaise with clients and regulatory bodies, and lead training seminars for clients and internal teams.

Required profile

• 1 to 3 years of employment tax experience with large multinational organisations.
• Ability to work as part of a national team supporting clients across diverse industries, including onsite work within client businesses.
• Skilled at managing multiple priorities independently and within teams, with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Excellent MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• Confidence handling data and performing detailed analysis.
