Senior Consultant - Corporate Tax - Private Clients

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Consultant for its Private Tax team, based in Boorloo (Perth). You will work with established large private businesses, high net worth individuals and families, and entrepreneurial start-ups, with significant learning and career advancement opportunities and exposure to both private and corporate clients, including cross-border and international tax work.

Key responsibilities

• Help drive the team's success by managing a portfolio of growth clients, including privately owned corporate groups operating in Australia and overseas, local businesses, high-net-worth families, trusts and other private entities.
• Support the team in handling tax compliance, preparing financial statements, planning and advising on a wide range of clients, including companies (including tax consolidated groups), trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Deliver expert consulting advice on complex tax issues such as corporate restructures, domestic and international transactions, capital gains tax, Division 7A matters and specialised trust concerns.

Required profile

• Solid background in tax consulting, especially in top-tier or second-tier accounting or legal firms.
• Proven track record of supporting junior staff and helping them grow in their roles.
• Extensive expertise in tax matters for corporate groups, trusts and individuals.
• Ideally hands-on experience managing a diverse client portfolio and solid tax expertise gained in an Australian professional services environment.
• Strong client-facing skills, with the confidence to lead meetings and build a professional network.
