Senior Civil Engineer (Mackay)

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Mackay team. You will work on complex infrastructure projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, resilient solutions that benefit communities.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on civil engineering projects from concept through delivery.
• Lead design activities, particularly in land development and civil infrastructure.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges.
• Provide high‑quality technical advice that informs client decisions.
• Apply advanced analytics and optimisation techniques to improve project performance.

Required profile

• BE degree in Civil Engineering and RPEQ registration.
• Proven experience leading civil engineering design, with land development exposure considered an advantage.
• Strong client‑facing abilities and a desire to grow a client network.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Project management experience is beneficial.
