SEMH Teacher – Specialist Provision in West London

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate SEMH Teacher to join a specialist provision in West London. The role involves delivering creative, differentiated lessons to pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them re‑engage with education in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to SEMH pupils.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support their emotional wellbeing.
• Create a safe, structured classroom where pupils can thrive academically and socially.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and support staff to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
• Maintain consistent behaviour management strategies and promote positive student behaviour.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience working with pupils who have SEMH or additional needs.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
• Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, consistent approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Genuine commitment to supporting the wellbeing and development of every pupil.
