Security Project Engineer

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Security Project Engineer to join its VIC Projects team in Scoresby. The role involves delivering integrated security solutions across design, delivery, commissioning and customer engagement for high‑profile projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, engineer, configure and commission Security, Access Control and CCTV systems for a variety of projects.
• Develop technical solutions using Johnson Controls and third‑party security platforms, including software configuration, testing and compliance.
• Provide expert technical support, troubleshooting and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, sales teams and technicians throughout the project lifecycle, monitoring scope, schedule and budget.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Security Engineer or similar role.
• Strong BIM and CAD design capabilities and a proactive, safety‑first mindset.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Security system design and delivery (Access Control, CCTV).
• BIM and CAD design tools.
• Networked security systems, IT infrastructure, servers and system integration.
