Secondary Teacher – Mathematics & Industrial Technology (Temp)

About the role

Varsity College, a Prep to Year 12 school on the Gold Coast, is seeking enthusiastic secondary teachers for temporary contracts. Positions are available in Mathematics and Industrial Technology for Years 7‑12, running from July to October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess curriculum-aligned lessons for assigned year levels.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and ASPIRE Excellence Programs.
• Provide timely feedback and support to students and parents.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and school events.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification (degree or diploma).
• Full or provisional Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
• Australian working rights or a valid visa.
• Pre‑service and graduate teachers are welcome to apply, with practicum reports, mentor statements and unofficial transcripts.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the subject area (Mathematics or Industrial Technology).
• Effective classroom management and instructional techniques.
• Ability to use modern educational resources and technology.
