Search Strategist – SEO, Paid Search & AI

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Search Strategist to join our award‑winning independent creative agency in Perth. Working closely with the Digital Director, you will blend organic SEO, paid search, technical measurement and emerging AI‑driven search to keep our clients ahead of the curve.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute holistic SEO and AI search strategies, conduct technical audits with SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console and Yoast, and optimise site architecture, Core Web Vitals and structured data.
• Plan, launch and optimise high‑ROI Google Ads campaigns across Search, Performance Max, Display, Shopping and YouTube, managing budgets, bidding and ad copy testing.
• Own analytics setups using GA4 and Google Tag Manager, build custom event tracking, enhanced conversions and translate data into client‑facing dashboards and actionable insights.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in SEO, paid search and analytics within an agency environment.
• Deep understanding of search algorithms, technical crawling, keyword research and CMS‑level optimisation (WordPress).
• Familiarity with AI‑driven search visibility principles and how they differ from traditional SEO.
• Proven track record managing and scaling Google Ads budgets with measurable ROA/CPA results.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to clients.
