SACE Teacher (Gawler Campus)

About the role

The SACE Teacher is based at the Gawler Campus and reports to the Head of Campus, Elizabeth. The role works closely with the on-site team (Program Coordinator, SACE and Pathways Leader and Educational Support Officer) and carries delegated responsibility for developing and maintaining the campus's learning and social inclusion responses, shaped by the EREA Charter's four touchstones: Gospel Spirituality, Inclusive Community, Liberating Education and Justice and Solidarity.

Required profile

• Appropriate teaching qualifications at tertiary level and at least 5 years' professional experience.
• At least 3 years' experience working with young people disenfranchised from mainstream education.
• Experience developing innovative curriculum, making adjustments and differentiating, and experience developing Individual Flexi Plans (IFP).
• Knowledge of teaching processes, frameworks and practice.
• Current First Aid or willingness to obtain it, and current Responding to Abuse and Neglect training or willingness to obtain it.
• Familiarity with current child safeguarding policies and practices.
• Commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system in the Edmund Rice tradition.
• Able to obtain a DHS Working with Children Check and a SAVA clearance through the Archdiocese of Adelaide.
• Current 'C' driver's licence, as local travel including minivan driving is required.
