Reservations Sales Agent - Full Time

About the role

The Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide is looking for a full-time Reservations Sales Agent. The role handles incoming reservation enquiries, takes care to up-sell and maximise revenue opportunities, and provides friendly, knowledgeable service to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all incoming reservation enquiries promptly, up-selling and maximising revenue opportunities
• Greet guests who contact the Reservations department, using their names, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service to external and internal guests
• Answer all telephone calls within three rings according to brand standards
• Maintain accuracy on calls and when entering details, and keep guest details fully updated in the PMS with efficient records
• Be familiar with the reservations system, rate tiers, occupancy and property features to maximise occupancy
• Follow set rates, stay fluent in the Accor Loyalty Programme and keep strong product knowledge of the property and surrounding area
• Read all communication material at the start of each shift and pass special requests to the relevant departments
• Keep clear communication with other departments and advise the Sales Team of relevant sales leads

Required profile

• Experience in a similar reservations environment, or customer service experience, preferably in a hotel
• Fluent oral and written English; other languages well regarded
• Ability to work under pressure, work independently and work a variety of shifts
• Service-oriented, detail-focused, multicultural awareness and entrepreneurial spirit

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office
• Competent knowledge of OPERA Clouds PMS
• Communication, negotiation and time-management skills
