Reporter - South West

About the role

Seven West Media is looking for reporters to join its South West team, based in Bunbury. The team oversees six mastheads produced from three locations: South Western Times, Bunbury Herald, Busselton-Dunsborough Times, Harvey-Waroona Reporter, Manjimup-Bridgetown Times and Augusta-Margaret River Times. It suits a community-minded storyteller with a keen eye for detail and a strong interest in news.

Key responsibilities

• Create high-quality, accurate content that informs, entertains and keeps the audience engaged.
• Break news and develop relationships with key sources.
• Juggle multiple stories, deadlines and platforms.
• Expect weekend work and occasional travel.

Required profile

• Strong writing skills and a sharp news sense.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently but also in a collaborative team.
• Deadline-driven, able to handle tight turnarounds and pressure.
• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid Australian work rights; only applicants with them will be considered.
