Remote Support Engineer

About the role

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Remote Support Engineer to join its Remote Support Services team in Hawthorn, Melbourne. You will provide technical assistance for a wide range of Rockwell hardware and software, helping customers solve complex automation challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide phone, chat, and electronic support to customers worldwide.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with controllers, HMIs, industrial networks, and related technologies.
• Document findings and resolutions in service tickets while maintaining high‑quality communication.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Quality and other teams to investigate product issues.
• Contribute to Knowledge‑Centered Service by creating and maintaining technical articles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience with industrial automation products or systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication with a customer‑focused approach.

Required skills

• Experience with PLCs and HMIs.
• Knowledge of industrial networks (CCNA or equivalent certification preferred).
