Rehabilitation Consultant (Psychologist/Rehab Counsellor)

About the role

Acumen, part of the APM Group, is an expert in workplace health, injury management and safety, delivering services across personal injury and occupational health. Its personal injury division covers Workers Compensation, Motor Accident Schemes and Life Insurance. As a Rehabilitation Consultant (Psychologist/Rehab Counsellor), you will use clinical reasoning to support people who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury at work, working within a multidisciplinary team from rehab to healing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a variety of assessments according to your clinical expertise, such as functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments.
• Collaborate with injured employees, employers, medical specialists and other allied health professionals.
• Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans, working across a range of schemes, possibly including clients under Work Cover.
• Support clients' return to their original job or to finding a new employment opportunity.

Required profile

• Current unrestricted (or eligible) registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ASORC).
• Tertiary qualification in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling.
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams.
