Registered Nurse – Part‑time Relief (Merriwa)

About the role

Join RAAFA as a Registered Nurse on a permanent part‑time relief basis, supporting our Karri & Tuart Lodge and Vivian Bullwinkel Lodge in Merriwa. You will provide high‑quality aged‑care nursing, work flexible shifts, and enjoy the stability of a permanent contract.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate resident care, including assessment, case management and care planning.
• Deliver complex clinical care such as wound management, medication administration, assessments and referrals.
• Monitor and respond promptly to changes in residents’ conditions.
• Liaise with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams to align care goals.
• Perform specialised clinical tasks within the RN scope of practice.
• Lead, supervise and mentor care staff and Enrolled Nurses, stepping in for the Facility Manager or Clinical Care Coordinator when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration.
• Strong clinical knowledge and skills in aged‑care settings.
• Compassionate, empathetic approach with sound decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent time‑management, organisational and relationship‑building skills.
