About the role
The Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Advisor will join Aurecon on a 12‑month parental‑leave contract to sustain and advance the company’s RAP initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Inclusion, the role works closely with the RAP Leadership Team, Working Group and senior stakeholders to embed reconciliation into Aurecon’s culture and operations.
Key responsibilities
- Strengthen RAP governance through action tracking, reporting and administrative support for leadership meetings.
- Coordinate and lead cultural learning moments, including National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week activities.
- Provide cultural safety guidance and lived‑experience input to remove barriers for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Build and maintain relationships with First Nations employees, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Support procurement and workforce strategies by engaging First Nations suppliers and safeguarding Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property.
- Supply approved RAP content for bids and proposals to enhance Aurecon’s client credibility.
Required profile
- Demonstrated passion for reconciliation and commitment to elevating First Nations voices.
- Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to provide cultural safety advice and lived‑experience insights.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities or in diversity and inclusion initiatives is desirable.
