Reception Teacher – Mid-Year Intake (Temporary)

About the role

Renmark Primary School is seeking a dedicated Reception Teacher for a mid‑year intake class. This temporary position supports early‑years learners (Junior Primary to Year 2) and contributes to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Foster a calm, positive classroom culture aligned with the school values of Kindness, Respect, Responsibility and Learning.
• Support students’ transition into school life through strong relationships, consistent routines and responsive teaching.
• Deliver high‑quality early years instruction following the Australian Curriculum, with a focus on explicit phonics, early reading and foundational numeracy.
• Apply evidence‑based practices, including approaches informed by the Science of Reading.
• Use student data and observations to tailor instruction and meet individual learning needs.
• Implement the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework to enhance engagement and regulation.
• Collaborate with the teaching team and contribute to whole‑school improvement initiatives.
