Quality Engineer – Automated Warehousing

About the role

The Quality Engineer will support delivery of complex automated material handling systems across customer‑facing projects in ANZ. Embedded in project delivery teams, you will ensure quality is planned, executed and continuously improved throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Project Qualification Plans with key stakeholders.
• Lead problem investigations, applying root‑cause analysis and driving corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct on‑site and supplier quality audits, identifying risks early and preventing repeat issues.
• Visit customer sites to evaluate processes, collaborate on improvement strategies and build strong relationships.
• Facilitate cross‑functional discussions to align priorities, remove obstacles and resolve quality issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Quality Engineering or Project Quality roles.
• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Quality or related technical discipline.
• Certified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification (ISO9001 QMS).
• Strong experience with supplier and subcontractor quality management.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ISO9001 quality management systems.
• Root‑cause analysis tools (Fishbone, 5 Whys, 8D, DMAIC, PDCA).
• Data analysis using Minitab and Power BI.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with automated system error‑proofing (poka‑yoke) solutions.
