Purchasing Officer

About the role

The Purchasing Officer will support iContracting Group's operations by managing the timely and cost‑effective procurement of parts, materials and inventory for civil earthwork projects across Western Australia. Based at the West Perth head office, you will ensure site teams receive the right goods at the right time while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure parts, materials and services to meet project and maintenance needs.
• Raise and manage purchase orders in line with company procedures.
• Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor critical spare‑part stock levels.
• Coordinate freight, transport and deliveries to remote project sites.
• Track shipments and manage urgent delivery requirements.
• Ensure purchasing documentation complies with company systems and procedures.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on procurement efficiency and cost savings.

Required profile

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or inventory roles within mining, civil, construction or maintenance environments.
• Strong administrative, organisational and time‑management skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and supplier‑relationship management abilities.
• Relevant qualifications in Supply Chain, Business Administration or similar are desirable.
• Full Australian working rights.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with purchasing systems; FleetMEX experience is advantageous.
