Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to lead quality management and design coordination across our high‑profile construction projects. The role ensures that design intent, technical details and quality standards are consistently met from concept through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, maintain and monitor project quality standards and procedures.
• Identify issues and lead the development and implementation of solutions.
• Review subcontractor quality documentation and checklists to ensure compliance.
• Review quality of subcontract works on site and liaise with the project team.
• Review and check commissioning and testing against service descriptions and inclusions.
• Facilitate resolution of design and coordination issues between client, consultant and subcontractors.
• Manage the flow of technical information between design disciplines and stakeholders.
• Manage the design team to keep works aligned with target programme and design documentation.
• Review consultant and subcontractor output for compliance with the design brief.
• Check tender package content for scope of work, product usage and design logic.
• Provide technical support and assistance to all members of the project team.

Required profile

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
• 6+ years’ experience in a similar engineering role.
• Strong understanding of quality and design for structures, services, finishes and facades.
• Proven experience on large‑scale ($40M+) high‑rise residential projects.
• Familiarity with Sydney’s construction market, subcontractors and consultants.
• Proactive problem‑solving, clear communication and a collaborative approach.
