Production Operator – Manufacturing Team Member

About the role

Orrcon Steel is seeking Production Operator team members for its O'Sullivan Beach plant. This permanent full‑time position offers a structured training program and the chance to develop a career in steel manufacturing, whether you have prior industry experience or not.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production machinery to manufacture steel tube and pipe products safely.
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Pack and strap finished steel products for shipment.
• Perform routine machinery maintenance and cleaning.
• Operate overhead gantry cranes and drive forklifts as required.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new manufacturing skills.
• Commitment to personal and team safety.
• Ability to work rotating shift patterns and adapt to a 7‑day rotation schedule.

Required skills

• Machinery operation in a continuous production environment.
• Overhead gantry crane operation.
• Forklift driving.
• Basic machinery maintenance and cleaning.
