Procurement Officer – ICT Contracts

About the role
The Procurement Officer will join the Contract Solutions branch within Digital & Technology Services (DTS) to support the delivery of ICT services across Queensland. Working closely with senior procurement staff, you will help manage the end‑to‑end procure‑to‑pay process for ICT contracts, ensuring the organisation can source the right technology resources and services for its customers.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Principal and Senior Procurement Officers in identifying and reviewing contract renewals.
- Draft simple ICT contracts using the QITC Framework.
- Support the full quote and tender process in line with the Queensland Procurement Policy and departmental guidelines.
- Monitor supplier performance against contract management plans, escalating issues as needed.
- Accurately process purchase orders and invoices.
- Maintain contract and sourcing registers and publish awarded contract details according to policy.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and raise procurement challenges with peers.
Required profile
- Experience supporting procurement activities, preferably in an ICT or government environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established policies and procedures.
- Good communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Required skills
- Familiarity with the Queensland Procurement Policy and QITC Framework.
- Understanding of procure‑to‑pay processes, tendering, and contract management.
