Procurement Manager – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role
The Procurement Manager will lead strategic procurement and commercial delivery for large‑scale wind, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and transmission projects across Australia’s National Electricity Market. Reporting to the Program Management Office, you will work closely with development, engineering, legal, finance and executive teams to secure bankable commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project delivery objectives.
- Lead supplier engagement, tender processes and commercial negotiations for major equipment, EPC contracts and long‑term service agreements.
- Manage wind turbine OEM and BESS technology provider relationships, negotiating supply and service agreements.
- Oversee EPC and Balance of Plant procurement, including civil, electrical and infrastructure works.
- Maintain procurement risk registers, monitor market conditions and support foreign‑exchange and contractual risk management.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and procurement policies.
Required profile
- Proven experience in procurement for utility‑scale wind and BESS projects.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering bankable commercial outcomes and managing supply‑chain risk.
