Processing Trainer – Gold Plant Operations

About the role

Train all new and employed personnel in the effective and efficient operation of the processing plant, ensuring safe and compliant practices.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all processing area activities, including maintenance, are performed safely in line with the mine safety management system and training processes.
• Assist in developing and attending toolbox meetings on site.
• Support the processing and maintenance departments to develop and implement safe work procedures.
• Facilitate induction training, including authority to drive, for employees and contractors as required.
• Develop and review training packages and programs related to process‑plant activities.
• Maintain documentary evidence and a training database of all training undertaken.
• Maintain relationships with third‑party training providers under agreement, such as an RTO.

Required profile

• Experienced/competent process operator on all stages of gold processing, including processing controls and gold‑room operations.
• 2+ years experience as a Process Plant Trainer, preferably in gold.
• Experience with training management software such as InTuition.
• Proven ability to manage training contractors and employees.
• Team‑building approach and effective knowledge sharing.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Driver’s licence (C Class, manual car).
• Certificate IV – Training & Assessment (minimum TAE40116).
