About the role

The Tourism Support Hub is seeking a Principal Project Officer to lead innovative initiatives under Destination 2045, shaping Queensland’s tourism future. You will work closely with tourism operators, government agencies, and industry leaders to design solutions that improve services and deliver measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement systems, protocols, and processes that provide data‑driven insights for the Hub.
• Collaborate with tourism providers, agencies, and government to clarify compliance processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Handle complex industry enquiries, resolve issues efficiently, and develop practical solutions.
• Prepare polished reports, briefings, and presentations that translate Hub achievements into actionable insights for decision‑makers.
• Manage initiatives, timelines, and budgets to ensure results‑driven delivery.
• Travel across Queensland and interstate to strengthen relationships, facilitate workshops, and represent the Hub.
