Porter (Hospital Assistant Grade 2)

About the role

Sydney Local Health District is recruiting a casual Porter (Hospital Assistant Grade 2) to work at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, which has cared for the Veteran community for over 70 years and now serves the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond. The position is paid $31.42 per hour plus superannuation.

Key responsibilities

• Clean the hospital
• Move patients and equipment from one area to another
• Collect and dispose of waste

Required profile

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to listen, read, speak and understand what is required
• Able to follow instructions and complete tasks without supervision
• Understanding of safe work practices, including wearing protective equipment
• Portering experience
• Full working rights within Australia
