Piping, Civil & Earthworks Superintendent

About the role

We are looking for a Piping, Civil & Earthworks Superintendent to lead our site operations in Western Australia. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be one of the most senior on‑site roles, responsible for delivering complex water‑infrastructure projects safely and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, schedules and resources.
• Collaborate with Construction, Commissioning, Project Managers and Engineering to develop and execute project plans, scopes, timelines and resource allocation.
• Assist the Construction Manager in meeting KPIs by overseeing site activities and proactively addressing challenges.
• Support and mentor site‑based staff and field supervisors.
• Monitor and report on project milestones and variations.
• Ensure all workers follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised worksite.
• Maintain registers and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor trade and labour capabilities on‑site, identifying and addressing skill gaps.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Superintendent in FIFO or remote site environments, preferably within the resource sector and Tier 1 mining operations.
• Background in civil construction, pipeline construction and/or structural, mechanical & piping environments.
• Trade background in welding or plant operations is highly regarded.
• Experience managing blue‑collar workforces of 20‑40 personnel, including performance management and workforce planning.
• Strong knowledge of resource planning for personnel, plant and materials with short‑term scheduling exposure.
• Knowledge of pumps, pipework, hydro‑testing, civil earthworks and commissioning activities (desirable).
• Current S26 certification or equivalent statutory appointment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project scheduling tools.
