PHP Developer - Remote

About the role

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join our customer's team on a contractor basis. You will work remotely from the US or Canada, contributing backend expertise to an innovative AI agent project and helping to train AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust PHP applications using the Laravel framework.
• Collaborate with AI model trainers to structure data and workflows for AI training processes.
• Contribute to the architecture of scalable, high‑performance back‑end systems.
• Translate requirements into efficient, reliable code and participate in code reviews.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex back‑end issues during AI model training cycles.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a remote work environment.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously while contributing to team objectives.
• Experience with data‑driven or AI‑related projects is a strong plus.
