People Experience Business Partner

About the role

Join Zoos Victoria as a People Experience Business Partner on a fixed‑term basis, supporting a diverse portfolio that includes frontline operations, corporate functions and conservation programmes across multiple zoo sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice across the employee lifecycle for operational, frontline and corporate leaders.
• Manage employee relations and industrial relations matters, working confidently within a unionised environment (United Workers Union).
• Coach and build capability of frontline managers during organisational change and a transition to a new operating model.
• Support workforce planning, organisational change initiatives and cultural projects.
• Navigate HR systems and assist the business with the transition to Dayforce.

Required profile

• Strong generalist HR Business Partner experience with solid ER/IR capability.
• Experience working with frontline, operational and unionised workforces.
• Excellent stakeholder management and manager coaching skills.
• Ability to adapt approach across operational, corporate and professional groups.
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline and a current driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Dayforce HR system proficiency.

What we offer

• Salary $110,000‑$117,000 per year plus superannuation.
• Hybrid working model (approximately 3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
