About the role
Economic Development Queensland is seeking a People and Culture Officer to deliver responsive, high‑quality HR support across the organisation. You will act as a key point of contact for employee enquiries, recruitment activities and workforce reporting, helping to foster a collaborative and high‑performing workplace culture.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the HR shared inbox, triage and respond to enquiries with professionalism, accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide HR advice and guidance on legislation, directives, policies and procedures.
- Maintain workforce data and governance reporting, including mandatory training and performance agreement compliance.
- Support leaders and employees with practical advice, services and systems.
Required profile
- Motivated and organised team member who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
