Part-time Teacher – Education Support (0.5 FTE)

About the role

We are looking for two temporary part‑time teachers (0.5 FTE) to join the Education Support team at TAFE Queensland’s Bracken Ridge and South Bank campuses until 25 June 2027. The role involves delivering the Education Support program that prepares graduates to work as teacher aides, supporting literacy, numeracy and diverse learning needs in school settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and practical training for the Education Support qualification.
• Assess student competency and provide feedback.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of learners with diverse abilities, including students with disability.
• Collaborate with the Educational Team Leader and other staff to ensure program quality.

Required profile

• Vocational competencies at the level being delivered and assessed.
• CHC40221 Certificate IV in School Based Education Support.
• Current industry skills relevant to training and assessment.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in vocational training, learning and assessment.
• Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and Queensland driver’s licence.

• Salary range $46,465.01 – $52,609.05 per annum (Step 1‑4) plus 12.75 % superannuation.
