Part-Time Hotel All-Rounder

About the role

Mercure Brisbane Garden City, part of Accor, is looking for an energetic part-time Hotel All-Rounder to work across its Front Office and Food & Beverage operations. The hotel sits just 12 km from Brisbane CBD, has 120 guest rooms, a large restaurant and cafe, and a small conference room.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver service excellence from check-in to check-out, often as the first point of contact for guests and visitors
• Work shifts in Food & Beverage and at the Front Desk
• Carry out a wide range of hotel tasks, from selling hotel facilities to making coffee and snacks in the cafe, preparing and delivering food and maintaining guest accounts
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to external and internal guests
• Assist guests at the new self-check-in kiosks
• Brief non-members on the loyalty programme and sign them up

Required profile

• Previous customer service experience, preferably in a hotel environment
• Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) or willingness to obtain one before starting
• Availability to work a 7-day rotating roster including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office and preferably Opera
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and resolve issues quickly
• Strong communication skills and pride in personal presentation
