Part-Time Cook – Early Learning Centre

About the role

G8 Education is looking for an experienced Cook to join the team at Creative Garden Early Learning Centenary Heights, which serves up to 54 children each day. The cook prepares high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks for the children. The position is part-time, 25 hours per week, and offers a flexible work arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 54 children each day
• Plan menus and manage budgets, stock ordering and control
• Prepare food safely and keep the kitchen clean and safe in line with Food Safety regulations
• Meet dietary and allergy-safe requirements

Required profile

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood qualification, with experience in a cook role
• Current Working with Children's Check (Blue Card / DCSI clearance) and First Aid
• Willingness to complete the Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, available for set shift days Monday to Friday
