Part-Time / Casual PM Cook

About the role

The Sydney Boulevard Hotel, a classic establishment near Sydney's CBD with 275 guest rooms, two food and beverage outlets and 11 function rooms, is looking for a dedicated part-time or casual PM cook. You will support the kitchen team and help make sure guest needs are met with exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, room service and bar food orders
• Prepare and keep mis en place available as required
• Maintain a clean, hygienic work environment with high-quality presentation
• Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, and keep your area of the kitchen to the highest standard
• Maintain, service and clean all equipment, and report problems to the Head Chef
• Receive deliveries, unpack produce and store stock
• Complete general kitchen cleaning tasks, attend briefings and meetings, and pass on information during briefings
• Use department procedure manuals as a basis for service training and complete mandatory training through Accor Academy Learn Your Way and similar platforms

Required profile

• Ability to work a flexible 7-day roster
• Interest in cooking; experience in the food industry preferred
• Current and ongoing Australian work rights; must be willing to undergo a police check
• Ability to work independently, in a high-pressure environment and with people from diverse cultures

• Food Handling Certificate (required)
