Nurse Research Specialist – Cancer Care Services

About the role

The Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre is seeking a Nurse Research Specialist to support high‑quality cancer research. This position blends clinical nursing expertise with research coordination to ensure rigorous conduct of haematological and oncological clinical trials.

Key responsibilities

• Screen participants for eligibility and obtain informed consent.
• Collect, manage, and monitor study data in accordance with ethical guidelines.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day activities of clinical trials, including scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
• Prepare and disseminate research findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with Human Research Ethics Committee requirements and Good Practice Guidelines.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical research or trial coordination, preferably in oncology or haematology.
• Strong organisational and documentation skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of clinical trial processes and ethical standards.
• Project management capabilities within a research setting.

What we offer

• Competitive remuneration package ranging from $145,686 to $156,383 per annum.
