Night Manager - Front Office

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne, is looking for a dedicated Night Manager to lead overnight operations across the Front Office and the wider hotel. The role ensures the highest standards of service and safety are consistently delivered while representing the property overnight.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of night operations across the Front Office and the hotel
• Handle guest and operational concerns with professionalism and empathy
• Take care of critical overnight tasks such as late-night arrivals, early departures and daily audit reconciliation with the Finance team
• Monitor staff performance, ensure policy compliance and uphold brand standards
• Resolve guest complaints proactively and positively
• Drive performance, motivate the team and meet KPI targets
• Oversee inventory, departmental supplies and safety protocols
• Monitor chargebacks, rebates and discrepancies, enforce cash-handling procedures and work with leadership on corrective action plans

Required profile

• Prior front office management experience in a 5-star hotel; Marriott experience is an advantage
• Prior luxury hotel experience would be preferable
• Full and valid driver's licence, able to drive automatic and manual vehicles
• Valid RSA and First Aid certification
• Full working rights in Australia

Required skills

• Experience with OPERA Property Management System or similar
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with empathy and a guest focus
• Attention to detail
