National Account Manager - Major Grocery

About the role
We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager to lead and grow our relationship with a major grocery customer. Reporting to the Customer Director, you will be based in Melbourne or Sydney and work in a hybrid model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). This role is part of Lactalis, the world’s largest dairy producer, and offers the chance to influence commercial performance across a key account.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full commercial performance of the account portfolio, including forecasts, pricing, claims reconciliation and promotional fund management.
- Develop and execute an annual Joint Business Plan to drive sales growth, profitability and long‑term category health.
- Lead planning meetings to identify growth opportunities and embed them in the Joint Business Plan.
- Conduct comprehensive category reviews, present new products, defend range and plan activations.
- Manage internal processes such as range review preparation, forecasting, pricing alignment and communication of outcomes.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Category, Supply Chain, QA, Customer Marketing and Demand Planning.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in National Account Management, preferably with major grocery accounts.
- Proven experience working with field sales, finance, category, marketing, supply chain or inventory teams.
- Strong commercial understanding of budgeting, P&L, cash flow and promotional ROI.
- Demonstrated leadership and analytical capabilities.
