About the role
We are looking for a Mechanical Rolling Stock Engineer to join Aurecon’s Perth rail and mass transit team. The role will support the development of rolling‑stock capability across Australia and New Zealand, working on both passenger and heavy‑haul projects.
Key responsibilities
- Design, commission and support new rolling‑stock builds.
- Develop and manage rolling‑stock maintenance strategies.
- Interpret and apply Australasian, European and American rail standards.
- Create and maintain rolling‑stock lease and whole‑life‑cost models.
- Contribute to projects on the passenger and heavy‑haul sides of the rail industry.
Required profile
- Qualified mechanical engineer (professional engineering registration).
- Up to three years of relevant experience; recent graduates are welcome.
- Experience in rolling‑stock or rail engineering is advantageous.
