Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineer (Remote – Greater Sydney)

About the role

GSIK is seeking a senior Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineer to work remotely from the Greater Sydney Area. The role involves designing and delivering robust mechanical solutions for mining, agriculture, marine and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, components and assemblies.
• Create 3D models and detailed engineering drawings ready for fabrication.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity.
• Prepare engineering documentation for certification and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and drafters across multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct site assessments or field measurements when required.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations and client specifications.
• Revise designs based on feedback, test results and field data.
• Maintain accurate version control and documentation throughout the design process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical or mechatronic design.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical capabilities.
