Maintenance Technician

About the role

Benmax is looking for a hands‑on, self‑motivated Maintenance Technician to join its growing team. The role is ideal for a trade‑qualified professional with a mechanical mindset who wants to develop expertise in the HVAC and building services sector while working autonomously across client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Service and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including belts, bearings, pulleys, fans and pumps.
• Identify faults, diagnose maintenance problems and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Manage your own schedule and deliver work to a high standard without supervision.
• Build strong client relationships through professional communication and reliable service.
• Prepare accurate quotes and create purchase orders.
• Uphold safety standards and report hazards, incidents and near‑misses.
• Represent Benmax professionally on client sites at all times.

Required profile

• Relevant trade certificate in mechanical, electrical or equivalent (essential).
• Valid Australian driver’s licence (essential).
• Mechanical mindset with the ability to diagnose and solve practical problems.
• Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and manage time.
• Customer‑focused attitude with professional communication skills.
• Experience with HVAC systems is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
