Locum Geriatric Medicine Advanced Trainee

About the role

Gorilla Jobs is seeking a Locum Geriatric Medicine Advanced Trainee to support Geriatric Medicine services in a teaching hospital in western Sydney. The role suits an Advanced Trainee who wants locum work to plan around home life, with multiple block options available across 2026 and 2027. You will work 5 days per week and contribute to the weekend roster.

Key responsibilities

• Provide geriatric medicine care in a teaching hospital setting, with exposure to acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, orthogeriatrics and perioperative medicine
• Support consultative services, outpatient clinics and outreach services
• Clinical documentation, handover and escalation of concerns
• Work under consultant supervision in a multidisciplinary environment with nursing and allied health teams

Required profile

• AHPRA General Registration
• Advanced Trainee in Geriatric Medicine
• FRACP pathway desirable
• NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Australian working rights
• Willingness to complete local credentialing and onboarding

• Rates of $150 to $200 per hour depending on experience and shift type
