Legal Associate – Commercial & Consulting

About the role

YIMBA Legal & Consulting is seeking a high‑performing lawyer to join its Sydney team. The position offers direct interaction with senior leadership and clients on a variety of legal and consulting matters, ideal for professionals with 2–5+ years of experience seeking greater autonomy and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality legal and commercial advice across construction, infrastructure and commercial projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and project documentation.
• Support and manage legal and consulting workstreams, including contract administration and commercial management.
• Conduct legal research and prepare concise advisory notes.
• Contribute to business development, bids and client relationship management.

Required profile

• 2–5+ years of post‑qualification legal experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure or commercial law.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage client relationships and handle high‑impact matters.

Required skills

• Legal research and advisory writing.
• Contract drafting, review and negotiation.
