Lecturer – Social Work (Master’s Qualifying)

About the role

The role is a permanent, full‑time Lecturer position for the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) program. You will develop, improve and deliver curriculum while ensuring compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework and providing a high‑quality, student‑centric experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver face‑to‑face teaching sessions and student engagement activities.
• Create learning materials such as study guides, webinars and assessment instructions.
• Provide study assistance via face‑to‑face, LMS, phone or email.
• Mark student assessments in line with assessment and moderation policies.
• Identify at‑risk students and establish individual learning plans.
• Maintain subject sites on the Learning Management System.

Required profile

• PhD in Social Work (completed or in progress) OR a Master’s in Social Work with 5 years teaching experience.
• Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Experience developing tertiary curricula and teaching materials.
• Proven ability to coordinate and administer successful delivery of tertiary subjects.
• High professional and ethical conduct, resilience and collaborative approach.
• Strong understanding of social work theory and practice.
