Lecturer or Senior Lecturer – Teaching & Research (Law)

About the role

UNSW Law & Justice is seeking a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) to join the School of Global and Public Law. This full‑time, 35‑hour per week, fixed‑term position (2 years) involves teaching LLB, JD and LLM courses and maintaining an active research programme in public or international law.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials for undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes.
• Develop and update curriculum for courses in public law, administrative law, constitutional law and international law.
• Maintain a strong individual research agenda and publish in recognised journals.
• Participate in the school’s research culture, including conferences, seminars and collaborative projects.
• Engage with the wider faculty through service, mentorship and community outreach.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in law with a record of scholarly publications.
• Demonstrated expertise in public law, administrative law, constitutional law or law in the global context.
• Proven ability to teach at the university level and supervise students.
• Commitment to social justice, human rights and the university’s strategic goals.
