Lecturer – ESG and Sustainability Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a Lecturer (Level B) to join the Energy discipline of the School of Engineering and Energy. The successful candidate will teach postgraduate units in the Master of Decarbonisation, Energy and Sustainability Management and contribute to the school’s research and professional activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lectures, tutorials and workshops for postgraduate courses.
• Supervise honours and postgraduate research projects.
• Produce scholarly research outputs aligned with the school’s focus on decarbonisation and sustainability.
• Participate in administrative and service duties within the college and university.

Required profile

• Expertise in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and sustainability reporting frameworks.
• Experience in corporate sustainability strategy design, stakeholder engagement and change management.
• Ability to integrate sustainable procurement principles across operations and supply chains.
• Knowledge of smart cities, green buildings and sustainable infrastructure is desirable.

• IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (IFRS S1/S2).
• AASB sustainability standards.
• Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework.
• Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) reporting.
• Materiality assessment and sustainability KPI development.
