Lead Auditor – Subcontractor Compliance

About the role

BevChain, a subsidiary of Linfox, is looking for a Lead Auditor to manage a national audit function across its subcontractor network. This hands‑on role ensures compliance with Chain of Responsibility, remuneration, regulatory and contractual obligations in a complex transport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and remuneration audits across subcontractors.
• Verify compliance with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Fair Work and Australian Tax Office requirements.
• Identify non‑conformances, drive timely closure of audit actions and maintain accurate audit records.
• Provide pre‑audit education to subcontractors on compliance expectations.
• Produce regular compliance reports and partner with Compliance, Safety and Operations teams for consistent national outcomes.
• Support customer and regulator assurance through strong audit governance.

Required profile

• Formal audit qualification (mandatory).
• Proven experience in remuneration auditing, including review of payslips, payments and hours worked.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Work Australia requirements.
• Experience auditing within transport, logistics or heavy‑vehicle environments (highly regarded).
• Understanding of CoR obligations under HVNL (advantageous).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce evidence‑based audit reports.
• Experience using compliance or audit systems for data entry and documentation.
